We caught up with Meghan Keaney Anderson, CMO at Wanderlust Group ahead of the CMO Summit on May 11th.

Please could you introduce yourself?

Hey everyone, my name is Meghan Keaney Anderson. I'm Chief Marketing Officer at the Wanderlust Group, a tech platform that connects outdoor adventurers to destinations. Prior to the Wanderlust Group, I ran brand and product marketing for HubSpot, a CRM company for about 10 years, and I am very excited to talk with you all about my favorite topic of positioning and storytelling.

What will you be discussing at the upcoming Chief Marketing Officer Summit?

We're going to get real practical in this talk. I'm going to go through some of my most loved frameworks that I've used and developed over the years, including how do you build a positioning architecture for your company and brand, no matter what size or industry or competitive space that you're in. And then we're going to talk about how to use that and choose the right sort of combination of positioning and messaging playbooks that fit your situation.

What nugget of wisdom are you hoping to leave attendees with after your talk?

I'm hoping that you leave this session not just with a better understanding of your company's unique differentiation, but with the tools that you need to then go and teach that to the rest of your company and make it really tangible for everybody involved.

Which other sessions are you looking forward to attending at the Summit?

In addition to being excited about speaking at the CMO Summit, I'm very much looking forward to a panel that is called Forecasting for the Unknown, which could not be more relevant or useful than it is today. So hopefully I'll get to check that out - I'll see some of you there.
